Last year we introduced you to our 2022 Cancer Registrars’ Toolbox. This toolbox is a must have for every registrar to use while abstracting a case, learning how to be abstract, or simply preparing to be a cancer registrar. Unlike in years past, a standard setter would release a new manual about every two to four years and work with other standard setters to ensure everything worked together and met the proper guidelines for each cancer site. Within recent years, standard setters began to release faster updates with the use of online/digital formats instead of the old standard book format.   This allowed for more frequent updates.

This year, we have updated our toolbox to include all the updated 2023 source resources a certified cancer registrar, or even a trainee would need in one convenient location. It includes all the updated manuals, websites, forums, and more that a registrar or soon-to-be registrar will need while abstracting a 2023 case or use during their training time. It is a best practice for a registrar to bookmark these manuals and websites on their web browser for fast and accurate access when abstracting a case or simply needing to find something in hurry.
